Don+Pat, thanks for the info about the museums being closed on Mondays

I've checked out the bus timetable and it does look like the buses run fairly regularly.

So......if we do hire a car I will remember to drive round the island anti-clockwise

BTW, can anyone tell me how to set up my holiday counter please? I've gone into my profile and I can see the button for it but once I've clicked on it I'm not sure what to do then

The museum was fairly cheap to go in.
Buses run different times depending on season.
They cghanged the 2nd week of our holiday this year but they are reliable and cheaper than over here.

As it's your 10 year anniversary I would say a few celebration drinks were in order

I've visited Kos 7 times and have always loved it there but decided it was time for a change of scenery which is why we've booked Thassos.

I've been to kos about 4 times and liked it a lot, particularly Kefalos, but 1 visit to Thassos was enough to make me buy a house there.

I'm sure you'll love it.

Agree about the roads. Very easy to drive on Thassos. No lights, no roundabouts and not a lot of cars

Craig, Kefalos is where I always go in Kos. Where did you stay?
I stayed at the Pantheon quite a few times. The view was to die for. This year we stayed at Harry's. Great location and fantastic food at the family's restaurant. The family also made us feel very welcome right from the first day.

Can't really remember where I stayed. Got friendly with the staff at Sebastions taverna so stayed in their apartments 1 visit and 1 time in Kos town.

Craig, Kefalos is a lovely resort and over the years I've made quite a few friends there so doubt I will go back again.
